We have discussed some of the pre-requisite requirements of machine embroidery in our previous article here. Here we are continuing the rest of the list.
Bobbin thread
Unlike sewing machines, we don’t use the same floss for bobbins and needles in embroidery. It is because the bobbin thread doesn’t need to match the needle thread as it doesn’t appear on the visible part of the design. You may use white or black bobbin thread, which is lighter.
Needles
Pick the right needle size according to the fabric you are working with. The best quality ones are durable and improve needle penetration into fabrics and provide high resistance designs.
Scissors
To avoid damaging the fabric and design, use a pair of small embroidery scissors. Use double-curved embroidery scissors to reach the embroidery frame without hassle.
