How to keep your closet fresh & smelling good

We use wardrobes to store our clothes and the air is always trapped within. Therefore, most of the time unwanted odors may be trapped inside due to poor air circulation. It is annoying when your attires start to have an unpleasant smell as a result of it. Here are some easy tips to keep your closet smelling good at the same time maintaining your clothes fresh.

Smart storing

This means, not to stack your clothes for the sake of storing them. Use necessary closet accessories to store your clothes neat and tidy. For this you may use clothing hangers to store clothes that can be hung, small boxes to store your inner garments, and whatever method to save space. Given that, it gives room for proper airflow.

Use mothballs

Although this seems to be a traditional method, mothballs are incredibly good at eliminating the unwanted smell in sealed areas and gives a pleasant smell. Place a few packets of mothballs within each compartment of your closet.

Use scent infused fabrics

Take a piece of cotton fabric, add a few drops of essential oils, and place it inside your closet. Repeat the same process after a couple of days.

Potpourri bags

Use a net or lace bag to make your potpourri bag. Add dried flowers or spices like cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and tie it with a ribbon and place it inside the cupboard. The smell lasts longer, and you will love it for sure.

Give some sunlight

Keep your closet open on sunny days to prevent moisture and mildews. This method also helps you eliminate the horrible smell stuck inside the wardrobe.
