Smart sewing hacks

Do you love sewing? Then you should try these ingenious sewing hacks to make your day-to-day sewing tasks much easier. Whether you are a beginner or a pro, these every little detail can help you save time and money.

Pins easy to use

Trying to pull the pins through the fabric is a common struggle in sewing. To avoid and make it easier, pin them onto a soap bar.

Clothing pegs for taping hems

Sewing pins are often used to fasten the borders of a sewing project. You can replace pins with mini clothing pegs.

Keep the scissors sharp

Keeping your scissors sharp is no more a hard job. Just make sure you use them only to cut fabric and always keep it dry and clean after each use.

Organized sewing pins

Keeping sewing pins organized is another common problem among sewing individuals. Nobody wants them falling all over the floor, and it is painful when you are barefoot. To avoid this, hot glue a pair of magnets onto the bottom part of the container and store the pins in it.

Prevent thread tangles

This method is almost valid for hand sewing. Coat the thread with beeswax to prevent tangles while stitching.
